The Convert is the key to converting your existing geared mountain bike into a single speed! Rather than rely on a spring to give chain tension (which can allow your chain to bounce around and eventually de-rail), The Convert mounts solidly to your existing derailleur hanger and doesn't move until you want it to.
When you need to take your wheel out, simply depress the "Push Rod" and The Convert swings out of the way. When your wheel is back in the dropouts, just put your chain back on, swing The Convert around and it clicks back to its original position! No tools! No hassle!
We use a grooved urethane roller with sealed precision bearings rather than a derailleur pulley because it guides the chain better and is less noisy to boot. Made right here in Petaluma and features a CNC aluminum body with all stainless or Delrin hardware for long life . Easy to use, simple, and better yet, it actually works! (Can not be used on fixed gear bikes.)
